Red Angus
The Red Angus stud continues to grow and this year’s sale team is bred in the purple with three sired by Ferndale Rambo – the Red Meat Bull. Rambo’s babies are easy to pick, they are the ones with the biggest butts.
Five of the team are by Ferndale Workman, who is an Adelaide Royal Show interbreed champion, and whose semen is being used by a number of studs across Australia who were fortunate enough to get hold of it.
Another bull in the team, sired by Glacier Chateau, is a powerful bull and sure to impress.
RED ANGUS OPPORTUNITY
In an exciting development for all involved at Bandeeka, we have been fortunate enough to purchase 50 Ferndale females (Bob has kept a few favourites). The Ferndale stud is well known as one of the best in Australia, and an opportunity like this was too good to pass up. Of course 50 more females means some cattle have to make way and we have decided to offer the Liveringa matrons along with some selected C heifers on a sale date to be announced.. This offering will total approximately 30 head.
The Liveringa matrons were purchased from that stud’s dispersal four years ago and have bred some wonderful calves for us, but we have decided just to keep the Bandeeka and Ferndale prefix cattle. The Red Angus cows on offer have been AI’d to some of the breed’s top sires including Mulberry, Bona Fide and New Trend and are running with Ferndale Park Rambo as a back up.
The offering of these breeders is a golden opportunity to buy some top performing females, with heifers by these cows to be included in our 2008 show team.
